Hello everyone! The inspiration for this blog post originated from the comments for our last post (thanks for the inspiration by the way :)). Those, who read and understood, most probably can predict the issue…Those who didn’t – all right, we are ready to reveal an issue that keeps our minds busy 25 hours per day…

Our joy about the sharp increase of QuizBoom.com popularity periodically turns into a small headache. Straight to the point – our database of the quiz questions appears to be too small (here it is important to distinguish between “small” and “too small”).

There are many loyal players that manage to play enormous amount of quizzes a day (it’s not that we don’t appreciate you guys – ‘cause we do! :)). Moreover, they have a quite good memory as well, which basically means that at some point of time it is not interesting to play anymore…and to compete.

Hopefully, you haven’t lost all of your excitement and that our democratic distribution of the winnings still brings you some pleasure (even the 869th player of the yesterday’s rating won!). But, yes, we know that the lack of questions still is a mistake and that we have to pay all of our attention to it – this is exactly what we are doing right now.

“Why you just don’t copy-paste the d**n questions in the system?” - I would really like to answer “Yeah, why not – let’s do it!” to this question. Unfortunately it takes much more than that. The first challenge – we have to create questions in each of the three languages…Secondly, the system of the questions creation involves several steps (“copy-paste” is really not the case :) ).

In brief - the system of the question writing looks like this: 1) writing; 2) reviewing; 3) reviewing once more; 4) importing into the system. We don’t want to ease the process in order to keep the quality as high as possible. Instead – we are constantly extending our battalion of question writers…

This entire story ends with a promise – in just a couple of days few thousands of new questions in each of the languages will be ready for the use :). Ok, I’ll give you another one – we will add new questions much faster further on.
