Unconventional Marketing – Off-line Marketing Parrrty! (0 comments)
31 July 2009
Probably the first though that came into your mind was: “Nothing is unconventional nowadaysâ€â€¦And when you will get know about this marketing activity: “Is there anything more conventional than this!?†Well… this is in fact very unconventional for us – off-line marketing!
What? You should know “whatâ€, if you have already seen the pictures of the last post (if you didn’t – they’re quite nice ;)). It was our off-line marketing party at the Baltic Beach Party – two extraordinary brothers Quiz and Boom, two exotic girls, our “tuned†car (with a title “My chief doesn’t play QuizBoomâ€) and all the responsive people of the Baltic Beach party!
How? Our guys were just hanging around the party, communicating with people (or vice versa – people were communication with them), even having a friendly conversation with the local police! Both – the QuizBoom team and our car got quite big interest of the people around. Actually everything happened very naturally – nothing forced or theatrical (maybe except the brothers :))…Â
The result? The main result definitely is cheerfully spent time with jokes and laughter, and a good mood – both for us and the new friends of QuizBoom.com. If you want some “hard data†– unfortunately it is not so easy to measure the effect of such marketing party (read – “marketing activity”), thus it is also a bit difficult to create a balance sheet.
Costs – nothing much (especially if it is possible to organize the car from friends at the party place)… “Incomeâ€? Pictures of the party (@flickr and other big sites) might bring some people to QuizBoom. People from the party – even if they won’t play QuizBoom, they, hopefully, will remember us, which is also for good! Here I could refer to such keyword as “brand buildingâ€â€¦
Worth doing it? It probably depends on the “size†of the party. As Baltic Beach Party is one of the biggest summer festivals of Baltic States (50,000 visitors!) – it was definitely worth doing it! For comparatively low cost we made many people smile and know us! We consider this as a small step towards future recognition.
